As part of its CSR initiative to support high quality tertiary education in Pakistan, Indus Motor Company donated Rs 20 million to the Habib University as a contribution towards improved higher education in Pakistan. IMC believes that the Habib University is a much needed addition to the academic landscape of Pakistan. In order to visualize the progress of construction, the executive committee of its CSR activities visited the university in Sept’13, where the Director Operations of the university given them a tour of the campus and briefed on the progress.
Expressing his optimism about the future of higher education in the country, Faisal M. Khan, Senior General Manager HR & Administration, IMC, remarked, “I am excited to see how far the campus has progressed in such a short span of time. This is a gem of a project and I am certain will contribute positively to the social and economic development of the city.”
MrShahnoor Sultan, CFO & Director Operations at Habib University Foundation thanked IMC for their generous contribution towards Habib University and expressed the importance of industry-academia collaboration inspiring innovation and entrepreneurial learning.The Habib University will enroll its first class of students in fall of 2014. Acceptance of application is based on a holistic and rigorous review process.
