Indus Motor Company receives Award from President, Toyota Tsusho Corporation - May 3, 2007 Junzo Shimizu, President, Toyota Tsusho Corporation (TTC), Japan visited Indus Motor Company, a joint venture of the House of Habib, Toyota Motor Corporation and Toyota Tsusho Corporation. Indus Motor manufactures and markets Toyota and Daihatsu vehicles in Pakistan. Praising Indus’s record breaking Sales, Shimizu presented the Vehicle Sales Record Award to Indus and congratulated the Indus Team in increasing production capacity to over 50,000 unitsyear. Expressing optimism on Pakistan’s auto market, Shimizu mentioned that the company will continue to expand capacity by enhancing investment in the current plant as well as consider setting up an additional plant. He noted that the automobile industry has a key role to play in increasing employment and transfer of technology and is the major contributor in the growth of the engineering sector.
