Indus Motor sets up Rs 20m Earthquake Relief Operation - Oct 12, 2005
Karachi, October 12, 2005: Indus Motor today rolled out plans to directly participate in a Rs 20 million relief operation to support the victims of the disastrous earthquake.

In addition to a donation to the President’s Earthquake Relief Fund, Indus Motor Company is setting up base camps in Muzaffarabad and Mansehra for providing medical assistance and distribution of food, clothes, blankets, and other relief items for the earthquake victims. The relief teams comprising of doctors, paramedics and own staff volunteers in coordination with the government authorities will directly involve themselves in the operations. The company has also assigned eleven new Toyota Hilux vehicles to provide logistic support and transport to reach remote settlements.

The Toyota Dealerships throughout the country are contributing to the company initiative and all employees have donated one day salary to the President’s Earthquake Relief Fund as their support to the relief efforts.
