Toyota Camry Cricket Cup 2005 - Mar 31, 2005 Karachi, March 31, 2005: Indus Motor Company is a trend setter in the industry. This was proved when the company organized the ‘Toyota Camry Cricket Cup 2005’. The tournament not only provided the company employees an opportunity to take a break from their regular routines, but also an opportunity to meet and interact with their counterparts in the industry. On March 23, 2005, the Toyota Camry Cricket Tournament came to an exciting end as the final match, was played between Indus Motor Company and Thal Engineering, at UBL Sports Complex Stadium. Indus won the match by 8 wickets. Thal Engineering batted first and scored 175 runs in the allotted 25 overs. In reply, Indus achieved the target in the 23rd over. Faisal Iqbal of Indus bated extremely well and remained unbeaten at 98. Zeeshanul Haq contributed 43 valuable runs. Mr. N. Hayakawa, Marketing Advisor, of Indus and representative of Toyota Motor Corporation in Pakistan, was the Chief Guest. Mr. Sohail P. Ahmed, CEO Thal Engineering and Mr. M Aslam, Controller Marketing Berger Paints and other participating company’s senior management witnessed the match. Mr. Hayakawa, the Chief Guest gave the trophies and awards in an impressive ceremony in which players from all the participating teams were present.
